Favorite Finds: April Edit
I’m back with my five favorite things I’ve found in April.
1 | Number One
I originally found this article on Dwell, and quickly looked up the the real estate listing from W Collective of this home for sale in Santa Rosa. Designed by Taalman Architecture and CMA Development, it has three bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 2 half baths on over 10 acres. Tucked up in the hills behind Mark West Springs, the walls of glass provide the most amazing views of the valleys and vineyards and seriously has some of the best outdoor space for patio living. Would love to see this architectural gem in person!

The weather is starting to heat up, and I love eating lunch in our backyard to soak up a bit of sun while taking a break from the computer. Heidi Swanson recipes are a go-to in our house, and this vegetarian salad hits the spot. It’s a veggie take on a chicken salad, with lots of crunch from cabbage and fresh flavors — plus it’s holds up well in the fridge for a few days. Highly recommend!

And here’s a pretty bowl to serve it in —

Following along this theme of snacks in the sun — I recently bought this set of tinned smoked salmon from Fishwife in collaboration with Fly by Jing, and it is so good! Perfectly sweet and spicy, and so good for an easy lunch with sushi rice, cabbage, and avocado. It also helps that I’m obsessed with their packaging!
I first had Fly by Jing’s Zhong Sauce at Miracle Plum back when they were doing a dumpling pop-up a few years ago, and if you haven’t had it yet, you should run to Raley’s on McDowell Blvd, the only place we’ve found it in Petaluma!
5 | Number Five
I loved this article about the top 25 most defining furniture pieces from the last 100 years. One of my favorites is this LC4 Chaise Lounge designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand in 1928. This piece is still in production, and you can get it through retailers like Design Within Reach, but you can also find vintage versions on Chairish or 1st Dibs. The new versions are all leather, but I love that this one is wrapped with a fuzzy textile. what a radical piece of furniture that must have been in that era!
