Favorite Finds: October Edit

1 | Number One

I came across this recent project on California Home and Design, and loved the unconventional approach to a Mill Valley home. I love their use of color and materials, and the designer Studio Roene did such a great job of infusing warmth and interest into these spaces.

It’s that time of year when the marine layer starts coming in around 5pm, and the sun is setting lower and lower everyday. I love to break out a few new candles to set a cozy and comfy mood, and there’s a few candles on this list from Oprah that caught my eye.

I came across this post from Outlander Magazine of the Sashiko Gals and now I feel an urgent need to get a pair of New Balances. This is such a fun and creative direction for a traditional handcraft, but in a really casual and approachable way. It’s like mending an old pair of jeans to give them new life.

So it might be a bit early to start thinking about your spring garden, but definitely add this website to your back pocket. Plantgem is an online gardening store that curates an amazing selection of plants, bulbs, and seeds. ANd how good is their branding?

If you’re love the idea of a flower cutting garden, they have a ton of options to get you started. My favorite is this Garden in a Box that has 36 different varieties of flower seeds — it’s the perfect gift for a new homeowner!

5 | Number Five

And while I’m getting comfy this fall, you know I can’t resist cozy warm blankets. Here’s a few that I think are just beautiful.
