Favorite Finds: January Edit
As much as I usually love the energy of January — the goal setting, the deep cleans, and the general optimism — I feel like this year, I’ve been just a bit slower than usual. Our family spent a few weeks in Japan over the holidays, and we had such a a great time. But when we got back, I was feeling the jet lag worse than ever and then I caught the awful cold that’s been circling around. So I’ve been hunkered down at home, and spending a bit more time getting cozy than I expected.
Here are five things that I’ve been crushing on from the sofa:
1.Number One
This epic modular lamp from Lana Launay. I love that each shade can be rearranged to create a whole new look and feel. It’s so clever and sculptural.
2. Number Two
I love to cook, and tend to go through olive oil like water. Recently I received a gift of some beautiful olive oil from Portugal, and want to decant it into this beautiful cruet from Debbie Carlos.
3. Number Three
When we were in Japan, I was always scoping out beautiful notebooks, agendas, and calendars. As much as I want to get them, I have to remind myself that I’m actually more of a digital agenda girl (surprise — I hate clutter!) So this giant calendar from Studio Tigress is a perfect mix of minimal, but still graphic enough to act as art in an office. Actually — I love their whole collection of calendars!
4. Number Four
This book on daily meditations for a little more insight.
5. Number Five
This ceramic soap dish handmade by Somsack Sikhounmuong is just beautiful. I love the tactile feeling of the collected stones, but somehow it feels so modern at the same time.
Anyways — that’s it for now! Hope you all are having a productive start to the New Year!
